Harvard Law School is reorganized.

1829

The school is substantially improved thanks to the financial support of Nathan Dane, the appointment of Joseph Story to the faculty, and the efforts of subsequent Harvard president Josiah Quincy III. The curriculum and instruction are improved and Story promises to prepare young men for a profession “of transcendent dignity [offering] the brightest rewards of human ambition, opulence, fame, public honors.”
